<p>Le projet Grow a pour but de permettre au plus grand nombre de prendre part à la création d&#8217;un objet. Grâce à Kinect, l&#8217;utilisateur n&#8217;a plus besoin de maîtriser les outils de conception traditionnels (logiciels 3D…) et peut prendre part a la conception de son objet à travers une expérience nouvelle : modeler la matière grâce à un simple geste.</p>
<p>L&#8221;utilisateur modèle son objet à la manière d&#8217;un paysage, jouant sur les reliefs et les piques générés lors de ses mouvements.<br />
Le robot réinterprète cette esquisse pour en faire une pièce rendue unique par la dichotomie existante entre la précision du robot et l&#8217;aléatoire du magnétisme.<br />
Le procédé mis au point permet à l&#8217;objet de se mettre en forme comme par magie devant les yeux du spectateur. La matière s&#8217;élève dans les airs, semble défier la gravité et génère des arborescences minérales donnant vie à une curiosité issue d&#8217;un rapport étroit entre l&#8217;humain et la machine…</p>
